  • What does receiving the Travel Sponsorship mean for my chapter?
    • Being awarded the NILA Travel Sponsorship means that you will select an executive chapter board member to represent your chapter at NILA 2017. The selected individual will have the opportunity to meet with the company representative that sponsored them to attend.
  • What criteria will you be considering for applicants?
    • Updated chapter leadership information on SHPEConnect
    • Current and Paid Student or Professional member
    • Recipient must attend and participate in the 2017 NILA Conference in its entirety
    • New or struggling chapters are strongly encouraged to apply
    • Strength of short answer responses
  • When will I be notified if I received a NILA Travel Sponsorship?
    • No later than May 22, 2017 at 5:00 PM PST
  • Can more than one person from my chapter receive a NILA Travel Sponsorship?
    • At this time, only one executive board member per chapter is eligible as this is a chapter award and not an individual award.

  • Will I be required to participate in any extra activities?
    • Awardees will be acknowledged in the following capacities:
      • Button signifying sponsorship recipient
      • Recognition at NILA Closing Ceremony or other events
      • Chance to sit with sponsoring company at a NILA luncheon
      • Sponsorship recipient picture taken at Closing Ceremony
